October-Twist and Turns to a New Path

The key word for October 2022? Intensity. This is sure to be one of the most intense and action packed months of the year! Prepare yourself and get ready to be catapulted into a brand new territory of the unknown. Nothing ventured, nothing gained is my motto for October 2022.

But let’s take a look at the most important astrological events of the month:

October 2nd, 2022 – Mercury Goes Direct

A good metaphor for this Mercury station is walking blindfolded. One advantage of being blindfolded is that we’re no longer distracted by ‘noise’ – and this is when we can tune in and listen. This is a great time to focus on health and wellbeing.  An overall sense of the world coming together and making more sense will be felt and experienced. If you have a business or project that requires analyzing the nitty gritty details or is super complex, even better. While this influence will make us still continue to be more critical and hyper aware, there is a sense of movement and progress of the intellect that we can all look forward to creating. 

For my Darkling’s who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant( or inner planets) on or close to 24 degrees of Virgo, will be most impacted by Mercury turning direct. Expect laser-like clarity to slowly begin to return and profound conversations/ideas to arise. For everyone else, check where 24 degrees of Virgo falls in your natal chart to see where progress, clear communication and organized plans will be showing up.

October 8th, 2022 – Pluto Goes Direct

We can expect intense thoughts, feelings, and events that will trigger us at a core level. It is time to take that inner power and use it for creating external satisfaction and order. An intense but focused energy of getting shit done mixed with a sense of a plan is the best way to utilize this transit.

Many of you, my Darkling’s could now discover what turns them on in regards to their destiny and career since that is the area of the chart that Capricorn rules. Deeper psychological analysis that occurred when Pluto was retrograde could come into the real world to be applied and embraced.

For my Darkling’s who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant( or inner planets) on or close to 26 degrees of Capricorn will be most impacted by Pluto’s direct motion. Expect to see profound and regenerative energy connected to your ability too manifest big shifts in your destiny and purpose. Since Capricorn rules the father/masculine energy, there could be a surge of “get it done” vibes that come forth in a big way. For everyone else, check where 26 degrees of Capricorn falls in your natal chart to see where you will be applying your external power and drive into transformational experience of commitment and long term planning.

Pluto transits feel cathartic and purifying – they ask us to remove what’s out of alignment, so we can create space for new life to grow.

October 9th, 2022 – Full Moon In Aries

This is an emotionally charged Full Moon that will expose our deepest wounds bringing forth an emotional need for freedom and inner power. My Darkling’swill be all fired up to focus on their own endeavors and ambitions with a passion of purpose and willpower. The key with this Full Moon will be to recognize the Sun in Libra’s balance of not just focusing on I but rather incorporating we. Emotions surrounding our own feelings vs those of our partners could come into play big time with this full moon.

The Full Moon in Aries will also conjunct Chiron, and this could bring up the inner child wound of feeling isolated or all alone. It could also bring up the wound connected to being selfish and self absorbed. The key with this aspect will be around honestly expressing one’s desires and fears without abandoning our partner’s emotional needs and wants. Again, balancing both will be important.

For my Darkling’s who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant( or inner planets) on or close to 16 degrees of Aries will be most impacted by this Full Moon. Expect emotional endings connected to your own need for freedom or autonomy. A surge of inner power and emotional fireworks are possible, so again remembering to put yourself in another’s shoes is how to lessen the burden of this full moon. October 11th, 2022 – Mercury Enters Libra

Most of us will experience a sense of clarity and relief pretty much straight away.

This is when the initiatives or the intentions we set back in January  will come to fruition.

Since the conjunction happens in a relationship sign, Venus conjunct Sun will likely bring important relationship events.

October 23rd, 2022 – Sun Enters Scorpio

Happy birthday to all Scorpios out there!

An intense awakening of our inner power and sensuality. Hidden motivations and secrets could come to the surface. The unknown is super attractive to us at this time and an air of intrigue and transformation will be felt and experienced.

For my Darkling’s with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant( or inner planets) in Scorpio will be most impacted by the Sun’s shift into this deep sign. Expect to come back home to a part of yourself that maybe felt lost or incomplete. Themes of death/rebirth are always your thang so to speak but there could be some big endings and beginnings that transform your life during the next 30 days or so. For everyone else, check where the sign of Scorpio falls in your natal chart to see what major transformative energy will be brought into your life, especially within financial and hidden affairs.

 – Venus Enters Scorpio

The best time of the year to find what we really really want. 

A warning: the pull to live life at the heights of intensity is very strong right now, and it may cloud our judgment. Whatever you do, ask yourself: am I acting from a place of emotional honesty, or from resentment, or to maintain power? 

 – Saturn Goes Direct 

This is a pressure cooker type of energy that demands release. 

When Saturn changes direction, we may suddenly change our mind about a course of action. Some of this could have felt like being stuck in the mud with no forward progress or aspirations. Now, it is time to finally see the external manifestations of such patience and perseverance. This is a great time to go after our unusual or more unorthodox plans or out of the box ideas. A solid and firm grip on reality will be at the forefront of this transit along with some humanitarian focused vibes.

For my Darkling’s who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant on or close to 19 degrees of Aquarius, expect to make significant gains in your destiny and around your dreams. What was stalled will soon move forward in concrete and consistent ways. October 25th, 2022 – Solar Eclipse In Scorpio

This is also a South Node eclipse so it’s concerned with karmic, fated new beginnings, suggesting a rebirth of the heart that will set us on a completely new path.

This could also be the time when you are examining your sexual and sensual nature. Some Darkling’ could enter into deep and fulfilling romantic or business connections that seem to come out of nowhere.

For my Darkling’s with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant signs on or close to 2 degrees of Scorpio, expect a life altering period of many rebirths and transformations. Your whole world could be flipped upside down. At first this might be terrifying or confronting as Scorpio energy often is. Eventually, though, this transformation will lead to a beautiful and profound rebirth of epic proportions. This is not a time for chit chat or superficial communication. Mercury in Scorpio is a great transit to have honest conversations (with ourselves and others), do therapy, and get to the bottom of our thinking patterns.

October 31st, 2022 – Mars Goes Retrograde  

You know that saying, “fasten your seatbelt” which means prepare for an intense, bumpy ride.  When Mars goes retrograde in Gemini, we really want to fasten that seatbelt.  Mars will bring forth an inner frustration with how we think and communicate. Mars retrograde cycles tend to make folks more passive aggressive and just frustrated in general. My best advice is to watch how you think and even more so what you say. With any retrograde cycle, the key to remember is anything with RE… rethink, redo, re-design, reflect, revise, etc. Our brains and our mouths will want to lash out in intellectual debates and even our driving could be erratic and all over the shop. Mars retrograde in Gemini is a time to go within to reevaluate our thoughts, how we communicate and our intellectual capacities in general. The less you force it, the better the results will be. You could be more tired and just a cranky b**** for no reason. Don’t react, be proactive around letting go and letting god with this transit.

For my Darkling’s who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant (or any other inner planets) between 8-25 degrees of Gemini will be most impacted by this transit. Expect to feel at odds and super frustrated. This is the time to go back to old projects, ambitions and goals and redirect your energies. This is not the time to begin major new projects, plans or endeavors if you can help it. For everyone else, check where 8-25 degrees of Gemini falls in your natal chart to get a clue on what ambitions and goals will need to be redirected or what passions you might need to let go off at this time.

The biggest lesson of this month is to BREATH. I am going to say it again.. BREATH. This too shall pass. It is time to embrace the present moment with gratitude and peace. Even inside the chaos and the mayhem that could be brought forth this month. Even more so because of it. October 2022 is here to show you the strength of your mental and moral compass, have you go deep inside to reclaim your inner power and remind you that less force and less worry always bring forth more love and peace of mind.
