Help! Sleep Paralysis
In my childhood, I suffered from night terrors and sleep paralysis. My mom had this too. This condition affects Less than 8 percent of the general population.

The fear of sleep paralysis, the things you hear, feel and see are indescribable. This painting comes close. Many people don’t talk about what is happening to them because they are afraid to.
Things to know:
You can’t move because your body is frozen by a chemical your brain releases to keep you still while you are dreaming.
You can hear and see frightening things often on your chest.
You may feel buzzing over you whole body.
You may not be able to scream or call for help.
Things you can do today to help:
Keep a regular sleep schedule – irregular sleep makes this worse
If you can move just a pinky or a toe you can get your brain to release the counter chemical for movement
Do your best not to panic.
Learn how to lucid dream. Have you tried Mugwort?
Try making Some Moon milk, and drinking before bed.
Sleep paralysis is the scary cousin of lucid dreaming which is wonderful. By setting a plan to lucid dream you can cut of your night terrors at the offset.
My big point is. If this is happening you are not crazy. You are not being targeted by evil.
Most therapists know about this and they can help you get over it. You won’t be hurt. I have had 100’s and 100’s of these events before I learned how to get it under control. (My mother thought it was demons) No injuries. Fear yes. If your kids are going through this just knowing that this is real can help a lot.
If you know someone is having a terror ( hard since they may be still or sleeping eyes open) simply touching them or moving their hand can help them move and break free. Be kind about the amount of fear they may express. You may not see or hear anything but they did and it makes every horror movie you have seen seem like a cake walk.
