Description
Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT) is a light touch non-invasive, painless, and relaxing technique that decongests and prompts the movements of stagnant lymph back into circulation. This is done by the practitioner utilizing the Rightway XP2 machine that has a combination of light, sound and three inert gases (Xenon, Argon, Krypton). The effect created by the light, sound vibration and flow of electrons as they are ionized through the transmission head which cause a disassociation of trapped proteins within the interstitial (space between your cells). Trapped proteins in the interstitium hold water and cause swelling and blockages. This causes the thread like vessels to swell and no longer effectively pass along the lymph through its normal means of transportation in the lymphatic system. When stagnant lymph is dislodged, it can flow out into its normal filtration and reabsorption channels.
Assisted-lymphatic practitioners can facilitate nature by stimulating the natural peristaltic contractions of the layers of muscles located along the lymphatic pathways, also known as lymphangions. Stagnating fluids, toxins and wastes will be drained through the flow of lymph; therefore, this type of circulation will accelerate all healing processes from the deep to the superficial lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system is a network of tissues, vessels, and organs that work together to move a colorless, watery fluid called lymph back into your circulatory system (bloodstream). The lymphatic system has three main functions:
-
· Fluid balance: lymphatic system collects excess fluid from cells and tissues throughout the body and returns it to the bloodstream. This function also assists with nutrient transport.
-
· Absorption: lymph pulls fluid from intestines that contain fats and proteins and transport it back to the bloodstream
-
· Immune system: L.S. produces and releases lymphocytes (white blood cells) and other immune cells and monitor and then destroy foreign invaders such as bacteria, viruses, parasite, and fungi.
-
· Waste and toxins: Transports and removes waste products and abnormal cells from the lymph.
When your lymphatic system is not functioning properly due to congestion, the cells quickly become malnourished creating the ideal environment for disease to take over.
ALT shows advantages in helping:
-
Detoxing the body and removing barriers to lymphatic drainage
-
Scares, stretch marks, wrinkles and fracture, or surgical-incision sites are improved by cellular regeneration
-
The function of the immune system is stimulated and increased. The increase flow carries more antigens to the lymph nodes which helps with the inflammatory processes
-
Increase function in parasympathic system to help with “flight or fight” response. ALT soothes the nervous system
-
Managing stress, depression, and sleeping disorders.
-
Reduces chronic pain, fatigue, and fibromyalgia
-
Relieves discomforts for fibrocystic breasts
-
Relives chronic joint pain, muscles pains, and aids in sinus drainage
-
Rerouting pathways after lymph node removal
-
Weight loss
Common Conditions compatible with ALT:
